Blasting removes what cleaning cannot: paint layers, coatings and deeply ingrained soiling. The professional matches the blasting medium and pressure to the stone — overly aggressive blasting damages the brick skin beyond repair, so a test patch up front is the norm.
Facade blasting costs € 15 to € 35 per m², depending on the layer to be removed and the facade type. Not every facade is suitable: soft handmade brick and historic work need the mildest technique or a different approach.
After blasting the stone is left open: it is almost always impregnated afterwards, or repointed where needed.
